Well that is hard to determine right now. I live across the river from you in Washougal and the wind has been hell. I also did my lift (added wind resistance) and put on my basket (added wind resistance) so all I have is one good run on I205 that I got 18 mpg and it been average of 16 in the city.
If you want it to work just find the wire on the stereo that says amp power or amp switch or something equivalent. It should do the same for you. I believe it is a blue wire. If you have an amp to them connect together.
Jim you might like the actual K&N they go straight to where the air box sits instead of circling toward the fire wall. Although I'm sure you can cut the tube of the Spectre to get it into the same location. I assume your auxiliary battery sits behind your airbox.
I have been running it for 2 years. Not an extreme off reader. Mountain driving and an occasional mud hole. I clean it every couple months. I heard they are a dry filter but I treat it just like a K&N and it hasn't failed me yet. Driven through high water on the road and it never has a problem...
So since I put on my cold air intake my Sequoia has had a lag taking off with a heavy throttle. Now that I have put in the Volo chip and ran about a hundred miles I have had an improvement on acceleration and power. It doesn't need to shift down on certain hills I go up that it has always done...
Yeah I would love to do that but again it isn't in the budget. So I will have to settle with cutting out the OEM muffler and get a better one to take its place.
So today I installed a Volo Performance V12 chip. I can't afford a Unichip. So after 50 miles I don't see a change in fuel economy but it seems to have a bit more power. Anybody else tried this chip?
That is very true. All the reports I have read had concerns with the alternator but I am 80% LED so that isn't much of a concern for me. May have to experiment if we can ever find them. Would it be worthy to start a thread on electric fan conversion? I am interested in doing it but not sure.
They are designed for a performance upgrade. They are a smaller diameter pully for the alternator, power steering, and crank to reduce drag. I can find factory pullies all over.
