Hi, my ignition switch would not longer turn so I had to drill out the locking pin in order to remove it for repair. Following the repair, the engine will crank however it will not start because the immobilizer will not go off. The red immobilizer red dash light stays on. This is the same key I have always used. The spare key does not work anymore either. Car ran perfectly fine before. I went to the locksmith that fixed the ignition switch and was told that the repair of the ignition switch would not cause this. How do I fix this?
