This is when I found an open circuit in the clockspring so I replaced it and now everything works!!!. Problem solved.

Then I connected the other lead to the back of the connector on the terminal that has the matching location

So connect the ohm meter to the front of the black 4 pin connector on the terminal that's farthest to the right of the yellow cable, this is the groung circuit for the horn. I used adapter leads to connect the leads of the ohm meter see pictures.

This is the front of the connector before removing the steering wheel.

Here's how I tested it in detail. Disconnect the battery, wait a couple of minutes then disconnect and test the clockspring for continuity at the 4 pin black connector. There's two connections for the black connector, one is on the front of the clockspring and the other on the back of the...

So next I disassembled the steering wheel and tested the old one and here's what I found O.L. (out of limits) which means open circuit. This confirmed that the old part is faulty. Sent using Tapatalk

I received the new clockspring and tested resistance of it from one end to the other on the connectors and found 2.4 ohms. I was expecting 0 ohms but they must have added a resistor for diagnosis. Sent using Tapatalk
