Been looking for a truck (SUV really) to do some overlanding with. Recently bought an '07 (Gen 1) that's already been lifted and has 20" wheels on it. Being new to overlanding, I need some ideas or thoughts here.
I have two questions...
1) Could I really overland with these 20's? While I'm not looking to do serious crawling stuff, I could imagine that airing down from time to time might be a good idea. The tires on there now don't have as much profile as an 18 might.
2) The compressor is still in the truck even though it's been converted to coil. Could that be hijacked to re-inflate tires after having been aired down?
