I've got about 500 board-feet of decking I need to haul. I have the bed-extender to go into the receiver, and it's hight adjustable. Boards 17-20 feet. Total weight approx 3k. Wasn't planning on the OEM cross bars, but attaching a few 2 x 6's across the rails, so the rails would carry the load for the boards on that portion. Overhang the front a few feet, and the remainder carried several feet off the back on the bed extender. Anyone see any issues with the rails carrying a portion of that weight?
