The other day I started up my 01 Sequoia Limited and heard a strange clicking noise coming from the driver's side-view mirror. The only way to get it to stop was to press the button to fold the side-view mirrors in.
I got a quote around $700 to replace the mirror. I'm not too keen on spending that much.
Any suggestions on what I can do? I asked the shop if there was a way to disable the swivel mechanism and have the mirrors stay open but haven't heard back yet.
I wouldn't mind spending some cash to get it fixed but $700 is way more than I'm willing to part with for a side-view mirror. Are there cheaper alternative/replacement mirrors that could be used?
