When I first bought this 2014 Sequoia a couple of months ago, I was driving at night and playing a bit with the radar cruise control. I couldn't seem to activate it by trying and I was actually getting a bit frustrated by that. Then all of a sudden, with no one in front of me, the Sequoia slowed down REALLY QUICKLY as I was coming upon a bridge where the railing angled toward the road before turning parallel to it again. I think the radar detected that angled railing.
So for now, when I'm bragging about my awesome vehicle, I will be all too happy to point out the feature, as well as the offset little windows in the front bumper, but I generally don't tell people that it doesn't seem to do what I expect it to. I just let them think that it does.
