I decided to keep my old 2006 Sequoia after giving my kids cars and not wanting another payment. This site intrigued me with the idea of maybe building it for camping trips. Im hoping to do some Baja exploring and most of the Pacific Northwest.
I started with replacing the timing belt and the steering rack. Then I had Bilstein 5100 shocks installed with Toyo 285/70R17 amd new Pro Comp Alloy wheels. I also installed the K & N Air intake. Im super happy with the way it drives, we just drove to Eureka from San Diego and it was great. We didnt really get offroad much save a quick spin down by the Eel River South Fork (pic below).
Considering installing a light bar, some LED lighting and a roof rack but I really dont want ot add a lot of weight and I dont plan on getting into aggressive rock crawling or offroading. A swing out tire carrier would be cool especially if it enabled me to haul fuel in jerry cans etc...
Anyways, here she is, just thought Id share. IMG-2586.JPG IMG-2759.JPG
