I have a 2005 sequoia with the 4.7L 2UZFE engine. My water pump bearing locked up and my belt jumped. 6 broken valves...some small dings in two piston heads but one that's on the edge next to the cylinder wall. Can't afford/no equipment or facility to replace the whole engine. Gotta fix this one. Looking to replace one piston through the bottom of the engine by way of the oil pan. Impossible? Hazards? Things to watch for? Long term effects?
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks! 165420190815_044936.jpg20190815_030506.jpg

Might want to check ih8mud. The 100 series land cruisers have the same engine and maybe someone has had the issue.

Impossible without removing the crank. You already have the head off, why not take it out the top? If the valves are broke I'd be afraid there may be a hairline crack in the top of those pistons. How much is a bottom end rebuild kit compared to a junkyard engine? And hard telling how the water pump and chains are on the used engine.
