    Rear shock options

Thanks, the setup has worked great. Tires: Cooper SST Pro 285/70R17 Wheels: Level 8 MK6, 8 in width, -10 offset, wheels are hub centric so no spacers which I why I chose the offfset. I actually chose this particular wheel because I wanted something affordable that didn't require spacers...

Rear limit straps and bump stops

So I found out just how much flex the 2862 coils and Dobinson GS59-685 combination flexes while wheeling this weekend. The left side coil was actually loose and the right side stuffed pretty good. The left side e-brake cable actuated the ebrake which was a bit alarming at the moment. I didn't...

    Turkey Bay OHV (LBL)

Anyone live near LBL? I took my Sequoia out there yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by how well it did. A lot of the trails are very narrow but definitely doable. It'd be great to head out there with a few more Sequoias one of these weekends. I don't have any action shots as it was just the...

    2005 limited mild build

Wow truck looks awesome! How do you like those sway bar links? I am in need of some new ones. Also, I noticed you have wet steering rack bellows....I just found out my rack is leaking into my bellows too.

    Rear shock options

Well just got back. Left side rear cam was frozen. The tech was able to adjust the other 3 cams to make it driveable for now. It figures.

    Rear shock options

I'm going in for an alignment in about an hour and am a bit anxious after reading the endless alignment woes on every Toyota forum. I still have stock UCAs until next year...I decided to forgo my lifetime alignment at Firestone in favor of a shop that aligns a lot of trucks for a local custom...

    Rear shock options

Finally got my lift installed. Took it for a few mile ride down a pot hole filled gravel road to try and settle things in a bit. The Dobinson GS59-685 rear shocks seem to ride decent though my trip was limited.it was not harsh at all. Actually I didn't really notice anything...in a good way. I...

    Rear shock options

I will post some pics when all my parts arrive and I get them installed. I've had a rash of bad luck with shipping but should all be resolved by next week. I think there are a couple guys who have posted (maybe on other forums) about using them on Sequoias. I can't recall any pics other than the...

    Rear shock options

The Dobinson GS59-685 just arrived today! I haven't installed then yet as I am still awaiting some parts that got screwed up in shipping. I am excited to see how they ride...they are definitely long.

    Rear shock options

I am afraid the 60071L would make for a harsh ride without additional weight on the truck. I have only found one post embedded deep in a Land Cruiser forum that said the GS59-685 is a bit slower compression and rebound in comparison. I guess I just need to make a decision and hope it works...

Answered 4wd models with the shifter, is it mechanical connection or electronic?

My 2003 shifter controls High-Neutral-Low. Push buttons are fwd differential and center differential lock that utilize actuators. Regardless of the shifter, if the actuators fail it's going to suck. I miss the shifters in my old 83 pickup, 90 pickup, and 07 FJ.

    Rear shock options

Hello all, I recently ordered OME 885/862 coils and 90004/60020L shocks for my Sequoia (en route - have not received them). However, the 60020L seem to be back ordered and I am now looking at the 60071L and Dobinson GS59-685. My truck is stock as far as bumpers, etc. I've searched for...
