Hi, New to the Sequoia. Seems one of things which breaks often is the rear latch/handle and some seem to think this is because people are putting too much pressure on the handle when they lift the gate.
Got me thinking maybe adding a separate grip to handle the load.
Anyone do this or have ideas?

Just got a 2006 Sequoia with 144k miles and unfortunately we have no records.
If it was done by a Toyota dealer, I assume they may have record.
If not I guess I have to bite the bullet and have it done just to be safe.
Ideas and suggestions, please...
