    Here We Go!

Still working on it, I moved the thread here in hopes of getting a little more action. https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/2005-sequoia-dd.1122045/

    Considering 35s? 34s? 33s? 32s Here's some tech info for you...

I haven't tried personally but I've heard it fits if you deflate it a bit... but what good is that?? 275/70/17 (32") will fit.

Ahh yeah, I've driven through Ellensburg a few times. Be patient, there's plenty out there.

    Here We Go!

Not seeing what you’re talking about on the h/l adjuster... it’s obvious on my 00 Tundra, not so much on the tree. It’s not a worry now anyway, lights are pretty damn straight. The fog bulbs on my Tundra went out, so I decided to upgrade the tree and pass it’s old bulbs down (I’ll be selling...

You're in Washington? Whereabouts? I'm in Shoreline.

Mine lived in southern Wisconsin, I bought it in Illinois. It has the common rusted seams on the rear doglegs, but that's it. I plan on touching up the frame paint when I do the suspension work. It was definitely well cared for. The airbags are the same reason why I went for an SR5. The air...

I've seen your build on XP, nice truck. I think you can do better than the Sequoia you're looking at. There's plenty for sale, so just narrow it down to trucks with the exact options that you want and watch for a while what comes up. I just bought my 05 SR5 4x4, cloth interior, no rear air, tow...

How much can I expect front end to settle

I haven't looked a lot for rear springs but I think the minimum is about 2", you can use factory 100 springs or the OME 2862's. I also haven't been able to locate a 1" rear spring spacer. The rear 5100's they market for these trucks are actually too short, the 4600's are about 3" longer fully...

Congrats, I haven't even had my 05 for two weeks and I'm loving it. I chose an SR5 version partly to avoid the rear air suspension and the potential to fail. Definitely do a Carfax, also there is quite a few other sources of information on vehicle history online. Do a search for 'free vehicle...

    Here We Go!

I’ve used Osram Night Breaker Laser headlights in my Tundra for a few years now. They’re bright as hell but they last two years like they’re on a fucking timer. The headlights in the Sequoia were shit on my long drive home, they seemed dim and the right side light was pointing all up at a wonky...

    Here We Go!

Thanks for the response, I was beginning to think that I was talking to myself in here. It doesn't touch, it's just very close. It barely tucks under that lip on the A pillar.

    Here We Go!

As promised, wiper detail. Tundra’s and Sequoia’s use little 19” blades. Years ago while shopping for new blades on my Tundra I noticed that there was a lot of real estate on the windshield for larger blades. And since blades are mostly the same cost regardless of size I figured, why not...

How much can I expect front end to settle

I really like the look of a simple leveled Sequoia on 32's. I'm going a similar route. Your truck is looking good, even if it is a little nose high.

    Here We Go!

I took it in to the dealership today to have the frame inspected. They ran the VIN first and found that it had a side curtain airbag recall that needed to be addressed before anything else. Can't even throw it up on the lift, apparently. Ok, whatever. They'll need the truck for 6 hours to do...

How much can I expect front end to settle

Sorry I don't have an answer for you but I doubt they will settle an inch. I'm curious as to why you didn't just use 5100's with the stock springs? Third notch brings it up to level. Simple.

    Here We Go!

Today I installed the K&N filter that I had on my Tundra before I went to the aFe cold air intake (I knew I kept it for a reason!) and also transferred over all of the other random junk like the ice scraper, maps, center console crap, etc that was in my Tundra. I’ve had that truck for nearly 14...

How many miles on your tree? Any major issues other than general maintenance?

Just picked up a 2005 with 256k (now 258k after driving it home). It's in great shape but I will go through everything gradually, I want it to last a lot longer.

When was my timing belt changed?

If you get a carfax report it might show up. The first belt change was on my carfax history, the second was just a sticker in the engine compartment.

    Here We Go!

Not a whole lot to report today, I power washed 2,000 miles worth of road grime off the body and chassis, then took it down to the local dealer to make an appointment to get the frame checked out. I found some level ground and measured the difference in ride height between the front and rear to...
