I have an 02' 4x4 and I have issues with my cluster. At times my oil pressure gauge goes from working to not working. I have checked my oil level and there is plenty in there and I have no other warning lights or out of place measurements on the other gauges. Has anyone else had an issue like this? Where should I start looking? I have found a cluster online with similar mileage online. Could that gauge be bad, should I take it apart and see if something is loose, could the sender be bad. Thanks in advance.

Oil gauge fluctuation is very normal on these trucks

I know this is an old thread but I just purchased a 04’ with the same issue and I was curious if you resolved it’s. I plan on changing the sending unit, it’s a cheap enough part to at least try. I honestly don’t think it’s the cluster considering it moves on occasion.

It’s a very inaccurate gauge when new. More for looks than anything else. Anyways. It’s common for the oil sending unit to go bad.
