They are designed to be flush mounted but yes I wanted them a little lower. I was concerned at first about hitting the low mounting points but that will definitely not be the case since their is a lot of other lower hanging fruit like all my skid plates and such. I've hit the skids and the sliders but have not even come close to the slider mounting points.

Are you concerned at all about reduced surface area of frame weld weakening the mounting strength? Your Slider can support the weight of truck right?
You can jack by the slider?

Yes they support the weight of the truck just fine.
I inspect them every time I'm under the truck and all is good.

Does anyone have any idea if these will fit on a Sequoia? https://www.rocky-road.com/100-series-rock-sliders.html

And if so, what is the risk of using bolt on sliders? It seems like what I've read, that bold on sliders are somewhat widespread, I know that doesn't by itself make them ok, but I would assume if a lot of people in the Land Cruiser community are ok with it bolt ons, then the probability is high that they are ok.

Won't fit. Sequoias don't have a rocker panel that would accomodate a slider angle like that.

No bolt on options for Sequoias. There aren't any good mounting points for it.

People who do have bolt on sliders welded in threaded nutserts onto the frame to be able accomodate it.

Can't get away from welding something onto the frame.
