Actually, no. I did it a little different... I have the 08 4Runner Sport 17x7.5 wheel with which I think have the 30mm offset. So, the 1.25” spacer I had should have put the wheel at around ZERO offset and with the new 1.5” spacer at about -8 mm offset with the same wheel.
Thanks desertrunner04. I too am running that setup in ghe rear and will actually be installing the 885’s up front and will be trying the 1.5 spacers and diff drop this weekend.
I’ve read and watched the writeups “1stgenoffroad” has posted, but he too still has the frame rub issue...
If what I...
Whocares, thanks for the FB link, I was just checking out another FB page, “Toyota Sequoia Off-Road” and will definitely check out Sequoia4WD... Thanks again. I’ll definitely update this thread when I finally work out the bugs.
***EDIT: I just found out the FB pages are one and the same...
Sal R. Thanks for the link... I guess I gave up researching before I pulled the trigger. The infographics are great! And since I could only afford to do little things at a time (the BB approach) there will always be these stumbling blocks... Hence throw more time and money on trial and error...
Whocares, thanks, that was one of the things I will eventually do, but how will I know what the correct offset is if I don’t know how far from zero offset in the positive/negative direction is enough? Do you know? This was supposed to be a BB lift.
Next, after being to and hearing from three...
So, here is my setup... Bilstein adjustable 5100’s all around set at the 3rd (middle) notch with 285/70r17’s mounted on the 08’ 4Runner Sport 17x7.5 rims with a +30 offset and G2 1.25” spacers... tire still rubs at full lock on the frame... the people I have consulted said, “just don’t go full...
FYI, I just mounted them... they “work” but had added a 1/4” spacer to give additional clearance because the wheels BARELY cleared the calipers... picked up the 1/4” spacers at O’Reillys for less than what PepBoys were selling them for (by a couple of bucks a piece...) wheels were actually about...
I just picked up an 02 Limited Sequoia and have picked up the 08 4Runner Sport wheels and tires. I was just wondering if I needed spacers to fit them on my stock suspension/ride height Gen1 without having to do a lift... OEM wheels of Gen1 have 15 offset on a 16” wheel w/ 265/70R16 tires and the...
