Bought October 12th 2022
$6000
184,000 miles I have no idea where I'm going with this build, I think I'm just going to randomly throw upgrades at it forever.

All stock, fresh off the lot-

The post that don't have pictures or any more information in them yet are incomplete and I'm waiting on the parts and/or the time to complete said project.

Radio upgrade-

The stock JBL sound system is pretty crackly and shot.

I bought a Sony double DIN head unit and some Kicker 6.5" drivers.

Speaker install to come later.

Aftermarket "blacked out" headlight assemblies-

My headlights are all very foggy, so I went with some aftermarket blacked out (not smoked lens) headlight housings.
Then I'm going to put some screaming hot halogens in there.

Bough a throttle controller.

Hike It brand, on sale for $101.40.
I'll update more about it when it arrives.

Here's a video below where I show going through the models and then accelerating with the "HI" mode.

The Eco mode works great for offroading, it subdues the throttle significantly and helps with RPM control while bouncing up and over obstacles.
Especially while in low range.

I installed a new Subwoofer setup!

This is my first real subwoofer system, that hasn't been an "all-in-one" prewired sub setup or a little low profile box.

SPECS:

-Prefab Ground-Shaker 2x 12" down-firing sub box
Designed to behind the seat in 2/3 row SUVs
(model GS-THDFP212B)
-(2) Sundown Audio E-12 DVC 2ohm
(voice coils wired in series and subs wired in parallel together = 2ohm load)
-D4S JP8 monoblock amp
(800ish Watts@2ohm/40w per sub)
-0 Gauge wiring to amp

This thing fucking thing SLAMS!

Obviously my obnoxious videos don't give it justice, but this is (short of going to SPL competitions) the most stupid loud subwoofer system I've ever heard.

I may have gone a bit overboard.

Videos-
Rock music test
EDM music test

Snagged a hell of a deal on this rooftop box on Facebook Marketplace.

It didn't come with any keys and I also wasn't sure if it had the mounting hardware either when I bought it.

But for $50 I could NOT pass it up.
I The looked at the lock cylinder and overnighted a key from Amazon for 12 bucks.

Luckily as you can see in the attached pictures below All the mountain hardware was actually inside of it.

... And for those wondering, with the passenger seat pushed all the way forward you can actually fit in 90+ inch box in the interior.

After some de-stickering I finally mounted it and it's been rock solid since.

It has 3 sleeping bags, a full sized awning, an aluminum folding table, two camp chairs and a camp grill inside of it.

Here's a video of the trail up to our family camping spot.

Nothing too extreme, shallow water crossings and some rocky, muddy, lead covered uphill sections.

The video doesn't really do it justice (since I'm holding it out the window it doesn't look all that steep) but it's probably at least a 25⁰ incline.

These are sick! I've been looking for something like these. Do you remember where you got them?
