Looks crazy expensive for a kit
Ya, you know, the webstore wasn't working properly the first time I looked at it and didn't add the extra expense of the swingouts or other options, so it looked like a better deal at first. It is at least in Canadian dollars though.

It looks nice, I would rather cut the frame all the way back and not have those wings underneath, but for $1300 single swing out and still need to weld and powdercoat, that's steep. It's tough to make good margins on these things because of what they are.

You can find out real close how much it costs them in material to make this.

They state it weighs about 130lbs, which is about 4 x 5 ft or 20sq ft in 3/16 inch steel. In today's market, that's about $150 usd if they are sourcing their steel at today's fair market prices. However, that doesn't account for material loss, so give it another 25%, or even 50% so say $200 to $225 usd.

Then there's laser time, which is usually around $1 to $2 per minute it's running, but that's the cost of running someone else's custom job with a $100 minimum. My guess is 2 hours of run time.
