I took my 05 to a shop to get the timing belt done. A day later they called me and said that they finished the timing belt but the car wont start, it wont crank at all. They furthermore said it was my problem. So far I have determined that the check engine light does NOT come on when the key is turned to the on position meaning the ecu isnt getting power. looking for ideas of where to go from here. i checked the ignition relay. Any help would be appreciated

Can i just run a 12v wire to power the ignition?

yes. but i cannot prove they did anything to break it. i tried lol
This is strange, they had your truck and it was working before they tore into the engine, now it doesn't... Proof enough. I hope you didn't pay them. There are plenty of fuses to go through with a multimeter to get started.

i hvaent dug into relays yet because i dont know where to start
There's an electrical harness that goes across the front of the engine. Lots of people have had mechanics not put this back correctly and it gets severed. Called the BBB and file a complaint against the shop. How did you get the truck back?
