We have matched the 90004 strut which absolutely fits our truck from the 1998 to 2004 Tacoma with the taller 50mm 2885 from the 2005-2015 Tacoma. Note that this is a stiffer spring than ours and will allow for more weight to be added to the front of our trucks like a plate bumper and winch.
Net lift is 3.5" to 4"

These should be better than the 5100

So you have the 885 spring?
Honestly, I am not sure. They were returned because the customer claimed they were too tall. (they thing the wrong springs were shipped) so, ya.. Guess I will see how it goes. As of now, I need about 2" more than I have right now, so hoping this will do it. I will be installing the SPC UCA's as the same time. Just in case the factory cam's are not enough.

If they are the 886 spring then I would not install them. Way to tall and stiff for that strut from my experience. I have a set of 886 at the house and can measure coil diameter so you can determine.

I was originally informed by ARB that the 886 would be a good spring for my setup but it was not.
I have held on to them in case I add enough weight up front to warrant them.

Sounds Great, Thanks again.

I wonder how they will be with my Tire/Wheel setup. They feel a lot heavier going over bumps that the 265/70's I was running. I now have 315/70R17 with -12 offset.

So mine Measured in at 17.6, So I would assume they are the 886. I also measured the factory springs I have now, and they measure 17.5. Thought that was interesting. I really need the extra height, perhaps I could use the Bilstein adjustable 5100 universal strut like I intended on in the first place with these coils to get the Lift I need to clear my tires. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/bsn-24-186520 - I just need to find some top hats, and Strut mount adapters from Toytec, or all pro.

5100 will not control that 886 spring. You would be way better with an 885 on the OME strut that you already have and put a small spacer on the top to get the added height you need. Toytec does make 1/4" top spacers that will net you 1/2" lift on top of what the 885 will give you.

OK, good info. I am obligated by the Off road shop I got them from to install, and give a full report, so good to know I will have to order new coils. So, you installed these with your bumper and winch, and they were still too stiff? How much weight do you think you have added?

Do you have a strut in mind that your think would work well?

Thanks!

Oh I thought you already had the OME strut?
Yes I had the bumper on and it was way to stiff. Like so stiff the strut and spring would barely compress.

I have the setup in the picture. Just trying to figure out the proper application for the setup I have, so I can pass that recommendation on

I am being Guinea pig for a Local off road shop to offer lift for Sequoia.

Oh. Good luck and let us know your findings. To run a 35 I think it would be easier to put on a body lift and run what I run for a 33. Honestly I don't want any more angle in my CV's than I already have.
