What are you running? Why?

What size wheels and tires are you guys running ? Are you running all terrains ? What kind of experience do you have with those tires as far as mileage or years that they are good for service( before surface cracking becomes too severe ).

I ran Michelin 265/70/16 AT's for the past 8 years. The first set lasted 7 years before I had to replace them (due to cracking). I only drive about 7k miles per year on average so I have never actually worn a set of tires out tread wise.

I'm not sure what to go with now that I scored some new 4Runner wheels. I don't want wheel spacers if I can avoid them, so I was thinking 275/70/17's instead of the 285's...

Let's hear your thoughts

IMG_4433.JPG IMG_4108.JPG What about the BFG KM1. I ran those with lift and no spacers. They are a great tire, look aggressive and can be had on Craigslist cheap. I got 5 brand new jeep rubicon take offs for $500. I currently run them on my camper. I wanted just a little bigger tire so BFG KO2 285 it was. Both pics above are with lift and KM1

I'm running the 285/70-17 Toyo MT personally. The MT was chosen due to not having front or rear lockers yet. After the lockers get installed I'll probably go back to an AT or a Hybrid tread.

The last set of MTs I had lasted over 50k miles. They never cupped or rode harsh.

Would this lift setup work for my 06? I have the rear height control (airbags).

Yes it will work but I think you will have to ditch the bags. I put ride rite bags in my rear springs but I also did not have factory air bags.

What is your goal with lift? You can lift a Sequoia with spacers and keep your stock springs like I did my first time around. I didn't like it and it performed less than good offroad. My current setup is a very nice mix of on and offroad capability

I wasn't looking for anything crazy. I don't do too much offroading anymore. My last vehicle was a 96 Jeep Cherokee which I beat the hell out of. I want this as more of a towing rig for my atvs, just want to give it a small lift to fit some beefier tires.

With towing my setup does great. Highly recommend it. Oh also you can reuse the factory stut mounts on the new OME struts and springs. I think the ones I listed end up giving a little more lift Over stock ones.

ive got 305 65 18 Nitto Terra grapplers on stock suspension set up. Pulled the front mud flaps to keep it from rubbing. Been toying with doing a slight lift to level it. Was given a set of 295 65 18 but haven't put them on yet. Little narrower but little taller so im afraid they well rub
